HALO BassiNest Settlement: $1.5M

Consumers who purchased a HALO BassiNest Flex Morning Mist or HALO BassiNest Flex Heather Weave bassinet before February 10, 2025.

Receipts, order confirmations, or other records of purchase are required for the $30 claim. Without proof, claimants may still receive $10 per product.

HALO Innovations has agreed to a $1.5 million class action settlement to resolve allegations that two of its BassiNest Flex bassinet models were sold with a tilt defect. According to the lawsuit, the sleep surface in these bassinets can slant unexpectedly, creating a risk that infants could roll into unsafe positions and obstruct their airways.

Parents allege that HALO knew about the issue but failed to recall the bassinets or warn buyers. The affected products include the HALO BassiNest Flex Morning Mist and HALO BassiNest Flex Heather Weave models.

While HALO denies any wrongdoing, the company has agreed to resolve the claims and compensate eligible purchasers.

Under the Terms of the Settlement

Class members may receive:

• Up to $30 per product with proof of purchase

• Up to $10 per product without proof of purchase

• Both payments are per household and may increase depending on the number of claims filed

To qualify, you must submit a valid claim form by June 10, 2025. Consumers do not need to return the product to be eligible for compensation.

This case highlights ongoing concerns about infant product safety and the need for clear consumer communication when defects are identified.
